The Community Building Committee focuses on strengthening connections both within our PIH Engage network and with our broader community to expand awareness and support for global health equity. This committee organizes social events, educational programming, volunteer opportunities, and outreach activities.

Community Building Highlights 2025-2026
11/16/25 -- Facilitated our first ever Advocacy Writing Workshop, bringing together PIH Engage, Haverford's Writing Center, and Haverford's school newspaper The Clerk to guide students through writing their own Letters to the Editor.Â
10/25/25 -- Brought 30 Bi-Co PIH Engage members into Center City for our Day of Service at MANNA, a non-profit that provides nutritious meals to people with serious illnesses. Then, held our first annual Welcome Party in James House, in celebration of a successful Day of Service and a new year here at Bi-Co PIH Engage!
10/08/25 -- The Executive Board got some one-on-one time with Haverford's President at WaWa with Wendy
10/05/25 -- We held our first community-building event of the year... an ice cream social!
09/07/25 -- We had our first general meeting, with ~30 Haverford and Bryn Mawr students in attendance
